FCAT Writing Results Look Great!

VCS Online Surveys Are Now Available!

The Villages Charter Schools are committed to being the best. We rely on your suggestions and feedback to help us better serve our students. This year you will again have the opportunity to participate in online surveys to help us in gathering your valuable input. By participating in these anonymous questionnaires you can earn one (1) PI informational hour per applicable survey per family. The computer will automatically post your PI hour(s) upon completion of the survey(s). Your name will not be associated with the data report. The school principal will use the compiled report of anonymous responses with the teachers in planning for the next school year. You are welcome to contact the school to schedule a visit to our schools' media center to complete the surveys. The surveys will be available May 12 through May 23, 2008.

1.       School Climate Survey: This survey will provide valuable information concerning the school's services. This is your opportunity to provide feedback about our school's programs. This survey will be available soon. Watch for announcements from your child's school. Max PI hours = 1 per family

2.       Teacher(s) Survey: This survey will allow you to share information specifically regarding your child's teacher(s). You have an opportunity to give the teacher feedback on his/her work with parents and students. Parents can complete the survey for each teacher who currently teaches your child. For parents of elementary age children, you will be able to complete a survey on the classroom teacher as well as the art, music, Spanish, physical education and any special service teachers if applicable. Parents of high and middle school age children can complete a survey on all teachers who have taught your child this school year. You can complete a survey on a teacher only once but make sure you repeat the process to provide feedback on all your child's teachers. Max PI hours = 1 per family

DIRECTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE SURVEYS

1.       Select the “Family Information / Buffalo Adventures / Parental Involvement” link of the VCS website.

2.       Select “Personal Login”

3.       Enter your User Name as you do for the Parent Involvement log in

4.       Enter your Password (If you have misplaced this information, you can call 259-2350 for assistance)

The “Parent Information” page will be seen. To take the School Climate Surveys follow the steps below:

1.       Click on the “Click here for Online Surveys”  link

2.       Select the survey you wish to take (for example, the “Elementary School Climate Survey”)

3.       Read all directions carefully—Answer all questions and add comments (comments are optional)

4.       Click on “Submit Your Responses” – this will take you back to the survey page. Repeat if needed.

To take the Teacher(s) Surveys, first repeat steps 1-5 above then follow the steps below:

1.       Select in "Name of School" the name of your child's school

2.       Select in "Class/Grade" the grade level or subject the teacher teaches

3.       Select in "Name of Teacher" the teacher's name you are evaluating

4.       Answer all questions. Comments may be added as needed for each question

5.       Click on “Submit Your Responses” – this will take you back to the survey page. Repeat if needed.
