Job Title: 2016-17 Elementary Teachers
Job Description: Applications are being accepted for K- 5 elementary teachers for the 2016-17 school year. They will begin in July 2016 for the 2016-17 school year. A Florida Professional Certificate with Elementary Education K-6 is required; but will consider an individual who has a “Statement of Eligibility” from the Florida Department of Education. Applicants must be Highly Qualified based on the No Child Left Behind requirements. Job Title: Afternoon After Care Aides
Job Description: Approximately 20 hours per week and will qualify as employment for your child's enrollment in the charter school. We are looking for energetic individuals for our After Care Program for the Primary, Intermediate and/or Middle Schools. Part-Time - (APPROXIMATELY 2pm to 6pm, Monday through Friday). Candidates must have experience working with and supervising children and possess classroom management skills. Position is responsible for own class of students and will provide creative arts and crafts, and recreational activities. Job Title: Marketing & Office Specialist
Job Description: This position acts as the liaison between the community, students, instructors and administrative staff of TVLLC; marketing coordinator; coordinator for special events, special speakers and other TVLLC projects. Coordinator of Patron Advantage and memberships; and customer service representative for handling registrations, transfers and refunds. Responsible for continuous communication with the Media Division- creating the daily college corner, weekly TVLLC ad and possible articles, radio spots and VNN sections . A minimum of one year of college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training is required. This position demands excellent communication skills; proficient data entry skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook; dynamic organization, customer service and telephone skills in line with The Villages Charter School Core Values; multi-tasking with many different projects at once; an excellent attendance record; working well with others and being a team player; scheduling skills for coordinating volunteers; professionalism; and a keen ability to prioritize tasks in order of importance. Job Title: Part-Time ESOL Paraprofessional
Job Description: Applications are now being accepted for part-time ESOL (English as a Second Language) Paraprofessional at K-5 grade level. This position will begin immediately for the remainder of the school year. Responsibilities will include providing basic subject area teachers assistance in supervising ESOL students' learning activities. Performance responsibilities will be, but not limited to, activities such as carrying out learning activities as prescribed by teachers in listening to oral readings, seatwork and individual learning activities, assisting with administering and assessing standardized and teacher-prepared tests. Effective interpersonal relationships with parents, students, and co-workers will be required that best support the school's ESOL student needs. Qualifications: Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish. The majority of students served are Spanish speakers. To qualify, all applicants MUST HAVE one of the following requirements met: Associate's Degree or higher, 48 semester hours of college credit, or a passing score on the Paraprofessional Exam.
