The days are Tuesday from 7:00a.m.-1:00p.m. and Thursday from 2:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.. Incoming kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students will check out books from the Primary Center, while incoming third grade, fourth grade and fifth grade students will check out from the 4th & 5th Grade Center.
Students will have a summer reading goal for AR points. The goals for each grade level (incoming) are as follows:
To achieve this goal, students must also have a comprehension percent of 80% or higher. Students who earn the appropriate number of points with the 80% comprehension will be recognized at the beginning of the school year.
Please note: The summer reading program for the Elementary level is optional.

The link to this site is: http://www.tvcs-ar.org/RenaissanceServer/HomeConnect/Login.aspx
You will use your child's log-in information for this site.
AR Book Find
A valuable tool to help figure out if a book is AR is www.arbookfind.com. www.arbookfind.com Please note: not all books and quizzes listed on this site are available at our media center for testing.
Parent PI Books
The Elementary Media Centers offer the following books that you may read and take AR tests on for Informational hours. I recommend you read them earlier in the year as they can be hard to find the closer we get to May! Please note: you must have a student enrolled in the Elementary School to read and test on these books for PI time. The media centers at the Middle and High Schools have books for parents of their students.
