Primary Center Media Center
Welcome to the Primary Media Center Where We Are Riding The Waves To Great Books
It has been a busy few weeks in the media center. Students can check out books now and take AR tests. Parents will receive their Home Connect letters this week to access their child's AR account. The Summer Reading prizes are finally in, we will be handing them out this week. We are proud of all the children that achieved their summer reading goal this year. Thus far our kindergarteners and first graders have accumulated 3369 points! That is a great start to the year. We will reveal the school wide goal at our Reading Kickoff on September 17th at the middle school gym. Parents are welcome to attend this event, come out to kick-off a great year of reading with us.
The Special Areas Parent Night is scheduled for September 16th. I will be sharing how the media center works as well as more information on the Accelerated Reading program. I look forward seeing everyone there.
P I Opportunities
I have several volunteer opportunities available in the media center this month. If you have a few minutes or several hours to spare we can use the help. You can email or call me to schedule a time.
I accept gentle used book donations in the media center. Our policy is to issue 50% of the cost if the book is used, 100% if new or like new. You will receive PI as a dollar amount if I can use the books in the library.
As always if you have any questions feel free to contact me at 352-259-7700 or Karen.Bowersox@tvcs.org
