Can you believe that we are half way done with Kindergarten!
I am sure we have all been very busy with all that is going on, but remember to make time to read. Reading with your child makes a great impact on their love for reading and learning. Your child should be taking AR quizzes at least two times a week. Our entire class has met or exceeded their 1/2 way AR goal! This is really exciting because they will get to participate in a dress down day on January 11th. Your child must still wear sneakers for PE, but they do not have to wear a uniform.
I hope you enjoyed your winter break and are excited about the school year resuming. The next day we are out of school is Monday, January 16th for observation of Martin Luther King Jr Day.
Fun learning stuff is coming this month as well. We are having a Kindergarten Safety Fair on Friday January 13th. We will also be celebrating the 100th day of school on January 18th. Please look for a note to come home about items we may need.
You will be receiving a parent teacher conference form sometime this month. I look forward to meeting with you and discussing your child's progress this year. This conference goes towards your informational parent involvement (PI) time. Please make sure you are monitoring you PI time on the website.
Thank you again for all that you do for your child and to support our school.
