PI: On-line surveys will be available now through May 9th. Go to the Parent Login for PI Parents can earn up to 2 ½ hours of informational PI by completing the Teacher Survey, Climate Survey, and Buffalo Adventures Survey. The AdvancED survey will come out a bit later and will still count for informational PI. The surveys are completely anonymous. Please fill out the teacher surveys for our Special Areas teachers as well.
Our year is coming to an end. I want to thank each one of you for helping to make it a terrific year! I have enjoyed your children this year. Please come celebrate your child’s kindergarten year with our “End of Year Celebration”. More information will be coming home soon!
In Math & Reading we are conintuing to practicing & review the year.
In Science, students will be examining the properties of matter, how it heats and cools and how matter can change. Late in the month, students will be learning about Motion and exploring magnets. In Social Studies, students will be discussing and celebrating Earth Day, and finishing the chronological study of things that happen in the morning, afternoon and evening.
Homework will be coming home and due on Friday. Please practice the 100 sight words, read and count daily with your child.
AR News:May 6th is the very last day to test on an AR book! Please read every night with your child to improve reading comprehension, and to help your child reach the AR goal of 15 points with 80% comprehension. Students who reach this goal will be invited to attend the Pancake Breakfast! Simply log the book(s) read on the AR log sheet located at the back of your child's binder. We'll make sure they take the test.
