Dear Kindergarten Families,
Wow! We are already to December! This month we will be completing our jobs unit in Social Studies. We will end our unit with an at-home project. This will include your child creating a poster that shows what job they want when they grow up. They will present this project to the class and be assessed on their ability to express their ideas. Your child will need to be ready to present on Friday, December 5th when the project is due.
We will also have special holiday centers later in the month. Look for more information to come home.
Have a safe and happy holiday and new year!!!
A few things to remember:
-your child will need a healthy snack daily
-review your child's lunch choice with them in the morning (packing, hot lunch, salad, PB&J or our Tuiti Fruiti Yogurt box)
-be sure your child has a COMPLETE change of uniform clothing at school (including underwear and socks) labeled with his/her name
-go through homework folder nightly
-sign by your child clip # they earned for the day
-complete homework with your child
Kindergarten Homework Policy
In order to help your child practice their new skills, they will be assigned one sheet of homework nightly, Monday-Thursday. In addition, it is advised that you do the following on a regular basis with your child:
Practice sight words
Practice Letters recognition and sounds
Practice any specific skills your child may be continuing to work on
Please be sure to review the completed homework with your child and initial at the top of the page so we know you have gone over it and are aware of how they are performing.
Your support is key to your child's success!
If you have any questions, feel free to email me or jot a note in your child's agenda.
