Welcome to the last nine weeks of this school year!! I cannot believe how quickly this year is going! I trust everyone had an enjoyable Spring Break! I know I was able to rest and relax. In April, we will begin FSA testing, first with ELA, then math, and lastly, Science FCAT will be the first week in May.
Just a few reminders:
Yearbooks can still be ordered at the following website - www.yearbookforever.com. Please remember to note your child's name and my name when purchasing (it will help the group who distributes the books).
Conferences - if you have not met with Mrs. Priddy and myself, please contact us with a day and time that works well for you and we will try our best to accomodate you. Please note, we tutor after school on Wednesday's and Thursday's throughout March.
Weekly Learning Goals:
Math - This week we will begin Ch. 9 - Geometry and Volume.
Science - This week we are continuing Unit 8, The Structure of Living Things. Students will need to study nightly to understand and remember all information. We will assess this unit on Friday, March 24th. Please make sure your child is studying nightly.
Please make sure your child is studying their vocabulary cards - vocabulary can either really help their final test grade, or they can really hurt their final test grade!
Parents, please make sure that your child is taking advantage of the ThinkCentral website. This is a valuable tool to use for practice in both math and science. Your child has been given a username and password for this website. The information will be located in their agendas. www.thinkcentral.com.
Please make sure to check binders nightly for important information, weekly assignments, and tests. Please make sure that your child is reading every night. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me, jot a note in the planner, or email me at anytime.
