Thank you to everyone who brought in an ornament for our ornament exchange this Friday. Our student holiday party will be held from 1:00-1:55 in our classroom. I look forward to a wonderful week of learning and celebrating the holidays.

Usernames and Passwords for Connected and ThinkCentral have been placed on labels and can be found in the front of your child's agenda! You now can access to our Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies books and online materials. I will attach directions below for each as a PDF. If you are having any difficulty accessing these materials online at home, please let me know.

Please initial all of your child's homework after you have reviewed each assignment for completeness, accuracy and neatness. Agenda planners need to be initialed on a daily basis after all homework assignments have been completed and checked. 

Our lunch is every day from 11:12-11:37 in Cafeteria 1.

Grammar: Future Combining Sentences With Verbs

 

Literature Anthology (Close Reading)- The Real Story of Stone Soup

Genre: Folktale

Paired Read- Healthful Food Choices

Genre: Expository Text (Informational Text)

Phonics/Fluency- /u/: oo, ew, u_e, ue, u,ui,ou,; /u/: oo, ou, and  Roots in Related Words

Vocabulary Words- Can be located in your child's red folder (plastic sleeve) and as a PDF below. We are currently working on Unit 4 Week 1.

Spelling Words-  Can be located in your child's agenda planner and as a PDF below. We are currently working on Unit 4 Week 1. 

Math- Chapter 8- Understanding Fractions- Our Chapter 8 Mid-Chapter Checkpoint will be taken on Thursday, December 18th. 

Math Facts: This week we will focus on multiplication facts (4's). Students will practice 25 multiplication facts in class Monday-Thursday (timed for 1 minute). Friday's fact assessment will be taken as a grade.

 

Writing:  Main Idea & Supporting Details "The Science of Snow"

 

Social Studies:  Unit 1- The Geography of North America and the Caribbean
