                                      Mrs. Balla's Blitzing Backs!

  Dear Parents,

This is the week we are leaving on our second field trip-WonderWorks!  The children are excited.  They are going to learn so much about concepts in Science and have fun doing it.  Every child had a paper stapled in their agenda, if they are going, concerning what you need to know about the field trip.  Please be sure to review that with your child.  Thank you to the parents who are going to supply a snack for them that day.  Remember to include the receipt so I can put that towards your PI time.

Please remember to sign and return papers that were taken home and sign the agenda after you have reviewed your child's homework.  Students are to read daily for AR 15 minutes everyday.  This is a part of their daily homework.  If that is happening, every child will be able to reach their AR goal and then be a part of the monthly celebration and treat in the cafeteria.   My Blitzing Backs can do that!  Friday to Friday Cold Read Homework can be completed before Friday and handed in.

Encourage your child to master all times tables.  They all have a little poster they put a star on when they have mastered that times table.  The fourth grade teachers expect our students to be able to have them mastered and complete a set of twenty-five within one minute by time they enter fourth grade.  Those who have filled their poster will have a celebration at the last week of the school year with an Ice Cream Party!

Again, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me via email or call the Front Office to leave a message and I will get back to you quickly.

    Thank you.
