Most classes were able to finish filming their videos this month and are now busy with editing their video projects. This step requires the use of computer technology. We are using an new video editing software this year called Movavi that has a green screen feature. The students have enjoyed selecting backgrounds for their green screen scenes. Video editing is a very creative process that the students always enjoy.
Monday’s 4th grade class is creating a history
parody and a video called “Sharks and Minnows” that teaches students not
to put others down.
Tuesday’s 4th grade class is making one video about a reluctant reader who gets to really ‘experience’ the joys of reading and a stop-go animation that promotes good nutrition, where junk food and healthy food are battling each other set during the Revolutionary War.
Wednesday’s 5th grade class is creating a comedy
news show that’s full of idioms and a video that teaches the lesson ‘be
careful what you wish for.’
Thursday’s 5th grade class is making a public
service announcement on fighting the spread of germs entitled “Germ Cops”
and a music video to the tune ‘You Ain’t Nothing but a Hound Dog’ that
teaches a lesson about friendship.
