I want to wish everyone a very merry holiday season!
I hope you get to enjoy time with family and
friends and make some special holiday memories!
The students just finished a small group mini-project where they researched the origin of several different holiday symbols then presented their information to the class.
All the classes will begin filming their video projects when we return to school after the Winter Break. Happy New Year!
Monday’s 4th grade class is creating a history
parody and a video called “Sharks and Minnows” that teaches students not
to put others down.
Tuesday’s 4th grade class is making one video that
is promoting nutrition, where junk food and healthy food are at war with
each other and another video about a reluctant reader who gets to really ‘experience’
the joys of reading.
Wednesday’s 5th grade class is creating a comedy
news show that’s full of idioms and a video that teaches the lesson ‘be
careful what you wish for.’
Thursday’s 5th grade class is making a public
service announcement on fighting the spread of germs entitled “Germ Cops”
and a music video to the tune ‘You Ain’t Nothing but a Hound Dog’ that
teaches a lesson about friendship.
