October is almost over! The school year is full swing and moving quickly. If you are looking for PI opportunities, I do need help in the classroom with AR testing (7:30-8:00) Monday-Thursday. We also need a volunteer to help pull worksheets from workbooks. If you are interested in either of those, please let me know...we would really appreciate the help! The media center is also looking for volunteers to help put books back on shelves once they are returned. If you are interested in helping in our Media Center, please contact Karen Bowersox.
A few things to remember:
-your child will need a healthy snack daily
-review your child's lunch choice with them in the morning (packing, hot lunch, salad, PB&J or our Tootie Fruitie Yogurt box)
-be sure your child has a COMPLETE change of uniform clothing at school (including underwear and socks) labeled with his/her name
-please empty and return your child’s work folder daily
-mark your child’s dismissal plans daily
-homework packets go home on Monday and are due back on Friday
Kindergarten Homework Policy
In order to help your child practice their new skills, they will be assigned one sheet of homework nightly, Monday-Thursday. In addition, it is advised that you do the following on a regular basis with your child:
• Read together
• Practice sight words
• Practice Letters recognition and sounds
• Practice any specific skills your child may be continuing to work on
Please be sure to review the completed homework with your child and initial at the top of the page so we know you have gone over it and are aware of how they are performing.
Your support is key to your child’s success!
If you have any questions, feel free to email me or jot a note in your child's agenda.
