Congratulations to our class earning a dress down day last week for their lunchroom behavior. I was VERY proud of them. In addition, they brought up the class average on the weekly cold read test. Two very good reasons to celebrate!!
As January comes to an end and we pass the 100th day of school you will notice that work may be becoming more "intense". By this I mean that the expectations are becoming higher as well as our class goals. Your child should know their addition and subtraction basic facts well enough to work them out mostly in their head. Reading basic words and/or sounding out difficult words should be second nature. If you find that your child is having difficulty feeling confident in either area, please help them by giving them additional practice at home. If you need suggestions please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you for all you are doing to help your child. You are fantastic parents!!
