Buffalo Basket news: I will be spending the weekend sewing together the quilt your children and Mrs. Williams's children designed. I hope to have it ready for them to knot it on Wednesday and Thursday. Thank you to those who have sent in donations toward our "basket". We are still looking for a green umbrella chair and maybe a small green ice chest. If you can donate one of those items that would be wonderful.
This week your child will be bringing home part of a book report project. Well actually they will be just filling out basic information on a sheet about the book they are using for Book-o-week. Remember that on the 31st students will be allowed to come to school dressed as a favorite book character. The project will be completed during our center time after the costume parade. I have had several parents volunteer, but there is always room for more. Let me know if you are interested. Please remember that this is NOT a party!! These activities will be book related or content related. If for some reason your child does not want to dress up that will be fine, but they still have to find a book that they like and want to walk with during the parade.
The students are excited about science as we study life cycles of animals and plants. We have seeds growing and meal worms wiggling in our room!! I plan on having the test on Unit 9, October 27th. They will be more than ready.
Please look over the agenda nightly, check your child's homework, and read every night asking questions. Last week's test was fun to read but the questions were harder as they had to think deeper.
Have a great weekend and a great week. See you around!!
