Report cards are coming home October 17. Please take a chance to praise your child for a job well done the first nine weeks of school, and set a goal for the next nine weeks. Please sign and return the bottom corner of the report card in the envelope provided. Thanks!
We are continuing with Unit 2 Week 5 this week in Language Arts. We will be
working on Point of View, Poetry, Figurative Language, Spelling Digraphs, and Possessive Nouns. Remember that SpellingCity.com is a great website
to use to practice your spelling or vocabulary words! We have begun testing on our new AR goals for the second nine weeks. Your child took the STAR test again last week. Please ask them to tell you their new reading range.
If you haven’t signed up for the AR reports, the link can be found on the
media center page.
In math, we are continuing Multiplication! We are finishing Chapter 5 already in Math. Our test will be on Wednesday. Remember that ThinkCentral.com is an
excellent resource available online. We are testing on Multiplication Facts x4 this Friday (1 minute 30 seconds timed). When students master their weekly
multiplication fact with 100 percent in one minute, they’ll add a “sprinkle” to
their ice cream cone in class. Our goal is to have the ice cream covered in
sprinkles by the end of the year!
We are continuing Science Unit 7: Animal Classification - Vertebrates. Test on Friday. We'll begin our research project next week!
Thanks for sending in your Box Tops for Education! Every little bit
