There were a few notices that were sent home in your child's agenda concerning the IC Art Show Parent Night and Field Day. Please be sure to check your child's agenda for this important information.

Important Information:

 

Username and Passwords for ThinkCentral (online math and science access) and ConnectEd (online reading and social studies access)  can be located in the front of your child's agenda planner. Directions were sent home on how to access your textbooks online. They can also be located as a PDF Documents below.

Reading/Language Arts: Unit 6 Week 4

Vocabulary Strategy: Context Clues

Grammar: Adverbs

 

Literature Anthology (Close Reading)- Alligators and Crocodiles

Genre: Expository (Informational Text)

 

Paired Read: (Compare Text)- The Monkey and the Crocodile

Genre: Folktale

 

Phonics/Fluency: r- Controlled Vowel Syllables

 

Vocabulary Words-  (Unit 6 Week 4) Can be located in your child's binder (plastic sleeve) and as a PDF below. Our vocabulary tests will be taken on Thursdays.

Spelling Words- (Unit 6 Week 4) Can be located in your child's binder. Our spelling tests will be taken on Fridays.

 

 

Math- Getting Ready for Grade 4 End of Year (EOY Lessons 13-16).  

Math Facts: This week we will be focusing on 12's. Friday's timed fact assessment will be taken for a grade.

 

Writing:   Opinion Writing- "Does Technology Hurt Friendships? and "Should Dodgeball be Played in Schoosl?" Introductions, Paragraphs with Text Evidence, and Conclusions.

Social Studies- Unit 4 Governement

 

Important Dates:

 April 28th- Intermediate Center Art Show Parent Night- 5:30-7:30 PM

May 3rd- Buffalo P.R.I.D.E. Meeting 6:00 PM (VCMS Gymnasium)

May 6th- Last Day to AR Test

May 13th- Field Day/Reading Ccelebration

May 20th- LAST DAY of SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS
