3-27-15 Happy Easter to you and your loved ones. Have a relaxing and enjoyable Spring Break!
Dear Parents and Students,
I am very proud of each and every one of these children in my classroom. They are working hard and doing what it takes to succeed every single day! Please make sure your child is getting enough rest and eating healthy so they can continue to be their best selves. Also, thank you for being great classroom parents, it takes a team to do what we do.
Hard-copies of progress reports will NO LONGER be sent home. You can view your child's progress/grades entirely on-line through Skyward. If you need a hard copy please let me know and I would be glad to send one home per your request!
Tropicana Speech at-home work has begun. At this time, students have selected their topic. Their job right now is to plan their speech. The Speech Plan Sheet (students have a hard copy of this document and can also be found below as a PDF file) is due on April 10th. Please see below for a timeline of assignments. Just a reminder that the final speech has a required length of 2-3 minutes.
Our students will be practicing and studying the following upon our return from Spring Break:
Language Arts: Novel Study Where the Red Fern Grows applying 4th grade skills
Math: Getting Ready for 5th Grade Skills
Social Studies: Florida's People, Economy and Government
Students now have their usernames/passwords for ConnectEd AND ThinkCentral to access Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science on-line resources. Feel free to explore these wonderful resources for at-home remediation.
