This Friday will mark the mid-point of the third nine weeks. It amazes me at how fast this school year is going! An electronic progress report will be sent out. If you have any questions in regards to your child's grades, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Just to give you a reminder, all forms, (permission slip, consent form, and lunch form) along with payment for our field trip to Lowry Park Zoo is due no later than Thursday, February 4th. No late payments will be accepted. Students who do not have all items turned in will not be able to attend the event.
On February 12th, we will be exchanging Valentines, rotating through a few centers, and enjoying a few snacks. I will be sending home a letter with more information. Along with the letter, each child will be receiving a bag of 16 paper hearts. In addition to their Valentine's, I am asking each child to write a compliment to each of his/her classmates on the hearts. It can be as simple as "you are a great reader" or "you're really good at drawing". I will be supplying white paper bags for the children to decorate and bring home their Valentine's in.
As our school year progresses, I will be encouraging more independence and expecting students to give their best effort. Any work that is turned in, and is not their best, will be returned to be redone. Please remind your children that everything they complete should be their best effort.
I wish everyone a happy work week. Please feel free to contact me anytime with your concerns. Don't forget to send in those box tops!
