Welcome back to school and welcome to speech! This is my 11th year at VCS and my 21st year as a speech-language pathologist. I will provide speech and language therapy services at the Intermediate Center and the Early Childhood Center this year. A note has been sent home indicating your child's therapy days and times. Each student who comes to speech therapy at the Intermediate Center has been given a speech folder. The folder should remain in your child's backpack so that it is available for home practice and is returned to school for the speech therapy session. Please take some time with your child to review materials in the folder. I think you'll find some helpful resources and information in it.
Students who come to language therapy will not have a folder. Rather, we will be working on foundational skills necessary to help your child be successful in the classroom.
Students who come to speech and language therapy at the Early Childhood Center will take home their speech folder at the end of each 9 weeks. Please take some time with your child to review all they've learned in therapy.
I look forward to a fun-filled year of learning and growing. Feel free to contact me regarding your child's therapy program via e-mail or phone.
