Welcome to the final nine weeks! I can't believe we have made it to the final nine weeks, time flies when you are having fun!
Homework: Homework will continue this week as normal. Homework will be given Monday through Thursday, and will consist of a reading sheet and a daily math homework page. Spelling 3 times each will be on Thursday, to prepare for the spelling test on Friday. Our Reading and Spelling tests will be on Friday. I ask that you look over your child's homework and initial each piece. Please remember that homework is due the next day unless I specify differently. Homework turned in a day late will automatically receive a 60% (unless the child has been absent).
DEA Testing DEA testing is complete and I am so proud of all the students hard work. They rocked the test!
Conferences: All of you have signed up for conferences, that are starting on Monday, April 25th. Please be on the lookout for a confirmation email of the day and time you picked for your conference. If for some reason you find you can't make your scheduled conference, please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you!
End of the Year Program: I can't believe how fast the school year as been that we are already talking about our End of the Year Program! Our End of the Year Program is set for Wednesday, May 18th from 12:45-1:45. Please be on the lookout for a note that will come home with further details. Looking forwarding to seeing you all there and celebrating a fantastic year!
Accelerated Reading: Just a reminder that students should be testing on AT LEAST two books a week. If you feel your child is ready to take an AR test, please write the complete book title and AR quiz number in your child's reading log, inside the agenda. Please remember, your child's AR goal for the 4th nine weeks is located inside their agenda and 80% comprehension. You can check your childs AR progress by logging onto their AR connect account to see their progress so far for this nine weeks. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
Parent Surveys: Emails were sent out about the upcoming parent surveys. They are a great way to earn PI time, plus give feedback on our strengths and weaknesses, to help improve upon this great school. Surveys will be open starting April 25th. I look forward to hearing your feedback.
Boxtops for Education:Our class is collecting Box Tops for education! Did you know that for every Box Top you send in our school earns 10¢? It's as simple as clipping Box Tops and sending them to school in your child's folder in a sealed baggy. We'll take care of the rest! Thanks for all you do!
I really appreciate all you will do to help make this year amazing! If you have any other questions, please feel free to let me know.
