Dear Parents, families, and students,

Homework:  Reading homework this week and through April 25th will consist of reading their "Who Was......" book for the Bio-Buddy project.  Math homework will foucs on a variety of skills they have leanred throughout the year.  I ask that you ALWAYS initial your child's homeowrk.  Spelling homework will be on Thursday night to help students prepare for their spelling test on Friday.  Homework is due the next day, unless I specify otherwise.  Any homework turned in a day late will automatically receive a 60% (unless the child has been absent).

Field Trip:  We are so excited to be going on our next field trip to the Crayola Experience in Orlando.  Our class will be going on Tuesday, April 25th.  Thank you to all the parents who were willing to chaperone, I know the kids are so excited to be going!  Some friendly reminders about the field trip.  All students will need to pick between a hot dog or pizza lunch.  Chaperone lunch choice is a pizza.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to email me.

Bio-Buddy Project:   Paperwork went home on Monday, April 10th discussing the final at home project for the year.  Please see below for information on the project.  It is due on Tuesday, May 2nd.  No late work will be accepted!

Accelerated Reading:  Just a reminder that students should be testing on AT LEAST two books a week.  If you feel your child is ready to take an AR test, please write the complete book title and AR quiz number in your child's reading log, inside the agenda.  Please remember to check their progress for the 4th nine weeks inside their binder or on the AR connect page link which can be found on the media center page.  Students will need to maintain an 80% comprehension on their AR tests for recognition of completion of goal.  If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.

Boxtops for Education:  Our class is collecting Box Tops for education!  Did you know that for every Box Top you send in our school earns 10¢?  It's as simple as clipping Box Tops and sending them to school in your child's folder in a sealed baggy.  We'll take care of the rest!  Thanks for all you do!

I really appreciate all you will do to help make this year amazing!  If you have any other questions, please feel free to let me know.

Love,

Ms. Dixon
