Thank you for a fantastic school year! I hope you all have a safe, fun summer.
I have included some information on the summer reading program. All points earned over the summer will count toward next year's reading goal!
Students who will be attending The Villages Charter Elementary School next year are encouraged to participate in our Summer Reading Program. The program begins on June 9 and ends on July 23. During this period students will be able to check out books from the media centers in the Primary Center and the 4th & 5th Grade Center on Tuesdays between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and on Thursdays between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The students will also be able to take Accelerated Reader quizzes in the computer lab of those buildings during the same time periods. Incoming Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade students will check out books from the Primary Center. Students who earn the points indicated below for their new grade level with a score of 80% or higher on comprehension on or before the last day of summer testing will receive special recognition at the beginning of the school year.
