It has been a great first few weeks of first grade! The students are learning a lot and are off to a great start with our first grade rules and procedures. This can be a difficult transition time for some of them, so at-home support with schoolwork and behavior is greatly appreciated!
I would like to welcome Mrs. Davis to our class! She will be my long-term substitute while I am out on maternity leave. While I do not know my exact last day or return day, Mrs. Davis is here now shadowing and learning all about our classroom so that she is ready to go whenever Baby C decides it is time for me to go! I am so excited that Mrs. Davis is here, as I know she will be wonderful with our class and will help make the switch for the children as smooth as possible.
Please remember that Smart Ts are due Tuesday, September 1st. I have received a few already, and they look amazing!
Also, please note that BAGGY BOOKS are coming home now! Students are required to read with an adult every night (two times is the best) as part of their homework. They will take AR tests on their baggy books every morning.
