We are off to a WONDERFUL start to the new school year, and the students are already learning so much! Please read on to find out more about what's coming up for our class.
Please mark August 18th on your calendars! Open House at the Primary Centers is scheduled for that night, and I hope you are able to join us. Open House is when I discuss many of our specific classroom policies and procedures. It is a great place for me to answer your questions about our upcoming year.
The first at-home project, Smart T's, came home and are due no later than Friday, August 29th. I cannot wait to see what the students come up with as they begin to design their T's! Please know that the students need to be able to explain their project, including what "smarts" they chose and why they decorated their shirt the way they did. Additionally, students are welcome to turn in their projects any time before the due date; there will, however, be no late projects accepted (please see the handbook for more information on this school-wide policy).
Spelling Tests - We completed our first "practice test" and now we are ready for the real thing! Please see your child's agenda for the weekly spelling words. They can also be found on our calendar at the bottom of this page.
This year's Founder's Day is scheduled for Friday, September 12th. This is a great opportunity for you and your entire family to come out and have some fun while supporting our school! I hope to see you there! There will be a sign-up sheet at Open House for those of you who wish to volunteer at our class booth.
Please let me know if you have ANY questions as our year goes on. I am always available via email (see link below). You and I are a team, and I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to work with you and your child. I am looking forward to a great year with you! We are going to have so much fun!
