"We all have the duty to call attention to the science and seriousness of early childhood cognitive development - because the years between birth and age five are the foundation upon which successful lives are built." Laura Bush, July 2001
Young children need instruction to develop the early literacy skills needed for continued success in school. Here at the Early Childhood Center, we have tailored our curriculum to meet the needs of each child individually. We learn about the child's prior knowledge and provide real life, hands on learning opportunities to expand their thinking and give them a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning.
Our curriculum is based on the Core Knowledge Preschool Sequence set of skills that each child should know before entering Elementary school. We use a wide variety of methods to cover these skills including Math Their Way, Saxon Math, Earobics Early Literacy, and the latest brain research, just to name a few. Our outstanding group of teachers is always excited to share their classroom curriculum with any who ask.
