Welcome to The Villages Debate Team website!

We have a new Moodle website dedicated to the Forensics (debate) Team. Go to moodle.tvcs.org and look for The Villages School- Debate. If you have not done so already, you should edit your profile page so that we can learn more about you:

http://moodle.tvcs.org/moodle/user/view.php?id=1486&course=103

The debate team meets weekly, after school, every Monday from 2:40 to 3:10 in room 226

The Villages Charter High School Speech and Debate team is a co-educational extracurricular, non-profit organization founded to promote the activity of forensics on the high school level. Students of all levels compete in interpretative, improvisational, creative and debate-based events and compete with other students from around the country. The team has competeS in the National Forensic League, the governing arm of forensics for secondary education. For more information, please visit the official website at www.nflonline.org

In the debate club, we practice different skills that include debate formats, public speaking, acting, humor and other interests that comprise the forensic ideology.

We participate in a forensics league within central Florida and attend competitions against many other schools, with similar student size, as ours.

It's a great way to learn how to use language in many different situations, and have a good time addressing topical issues. Amanda Walter Amanda.Walter@tvcs.org
