AR:Students should have two books checked out. Students are given opportunities most days of the week to read and AR test as well as check out books when they have finished testing. Students should try to achieve their point goal by earning a few points each week. Students are assigned points according to their Reading FCAT scores. The point chart is listed in the planner on page 20. Deadline days are posted below as well as the dates I will be giving grades due to the percentage they have of their goal.  If your child is reading a large book, then they should be sure to get approval by me. If a student waits until the last week to test on a "big book" and fails the test, he or she is in jeopardy of not making their goal and earning a poor grade for the marking period.

4th 9-Weeks

25%- March 26-grade

50%- April 16

75%- April 29-grade

100%- May 13-grade

After spring break we will be starting the novel study "Hoot". The students WILL NOT have to  buy a book or any materials for this study. We will be doing various assignments including a research project, quizzes, and other in class assignments. Check back after spring break for further details.

Wish List: Colored pencil packs, dry erase markers, small kitchen timers, AA batteries, hole reinforcers, colored sticky notes (any color BUT yellow), electric/portable CD player (least expensive or non-name brand), and small rewards or prizes for treasure chest.
