Welcome to 7th Grade Civics and Economics! Brace yourself for a
challenging year of what I hope will contain many positive educational
experiences for you. By the end of this school year, you will have gained
considerable knowledge and will be able to see the world more clearly so that
the impact you will make upon it will have greater significance. I am looking
forward to sharing this year with you and helping you succeed not only in this
course, but in life as well - as you apply what you will learn to many of
life's situations and better yourself as well as society.
During the month of November, we will be studying various aspects of the election season from how to run for office to public opinion polls. We then will start a unit on the federal legislature. By the second week of November, students will be researching for their second quarter research project. A rubric/information page will be distributed and posted on this site by 11/7.
Lesson Topics and Assignments will be posted
weekly on the calendar. I will also post pdf files of various items for
students (study guides, homework and project rubrics) made available
