Mr. Robert Trifu « Teacher Connection / Documents / Calendar

Welcome to 7th Grade Civics and Economics! Brace yourself for a challenging final month of what I hope will contain many positive educational experiences for you. By the end of this school year, you will have gained considerable knowledge and will be able to see the world more clearly so that the impact you will make upon it will have greater significance. I am looking forward to sharing the rest of this year with you and helping you succeed not only in this course, but in life as well - as you apply what you will learn to many of life's situations and better yourself as well as society.

During the month of May, we will be spending some time each class period reviewing Civics for the state exam on May 13th. Civics and Economics come together in our final unit as we study the government's role in the economy, international trade and foreign affairs.

Students will have three options to complete the final bi-weekly homework assignment: 1) Complete a current event and political cartoon analysis, 2) Do one hour of community service and complete a reflection log of that service, or 3) Monitor five selected stocks and calculate profits or losses within the time period given. The rubrics for each are found below as pdf files. The next homework due date is Friday, 5/15.

Lesson Topics and Assignments will be posted weekly on the calendar. I will also post pdf files of various items for students (study guides, homework and project rubrics) made available below.
