Parents and Students!!! There seems to always be a horrible virus going around, and many students continue to fall sick for lengthy periods of time. It has resulted in several students losing their voice and being unable to participate in class. I would like to urge parents to keep their children home when they are ill, and allow them to get the amount of rest they need in order to fully recuperate.
What are we doing in each class?
Theatre 1 - Students are currently working on duet projects. They have a script AND cue cards that they can be using, in class and at home, to memorize lines and practice movements.
Theatre 2 - Students have completed all music and blocking rehearsals for Fiddler on the Roof, Jr. We are now in developing rehearsals and making our show as stage ready as it can be.
7th and 8th Grade Chorus - Students have learned their MPA music and are making it perfect for our upcoming performance. We are also practicing sight-reading every day.
6th Grade Chorus - Students are wrapping up a lesson on expressive musical words, and will soon be starting their music history unit.
All after-school commitments have been posted in a PDF file below.
***Important*** Parents, for the safety of your children and to ensure that they are always under adult supervision, pick-up for all after-school rehearsals is in the 6th grade car-line. That is the loop behind the Performing Arts building.
