Parents and Students!!! There are a number of students who have been at school not well or staying home ill. There is definitely something going around school. Please be extra careful to wash your hands, eat your veggies, and get lots of sleep so that everyone is in tip-top condition for the concert on Thursday!
What are we doing in each class?
Theatre 1 - Students are currently learning about the different types of rehearsals and the people who help lead them in a theater. There will be a vocabulary test, and students have been supplied with a note-sheet to study.
Theatre 2 - Students will soon be auditioning for their Spring Musical, Fiddler on the Roof. Audition sides are being sent home with the students to practice, as well as short musical selections. Students should be prepared to audition when they return from Thanksgiving Break.
Chorus - Students are learning how to healthily create volume in their singing, as well as the Italian words and symbols that represent the different volume levels. They are preparing for their Winter Concert. You can find information about the concert and after-school rehearsals in the PDF files below. Please note that 6th Grade Chorus and 7th/8th Grade Chorus have different rehearsal times. Ladies - Dresses must be hemmed to the top of your foot by December 15! Don't wait until the last second!
All after-school commitments have been posted in a PDF file below.
***Important*** Parents, for the safety of your children and to ensure that they are always under adult supervision, pick-up for all after-school rehearsals is in the 6th grade car-line. That is the loop behind the Performing Arts building.
