CHORUS DRESSES ARE DUE BACK TO SCHOOL FRIDAY, MAY 12. All chorus dresses must be cleaned (they are machine-washable) and returned to Ms. B or Mrs. Carlson by May 12. The dresses should not be permanently altered in any way, or the family will be financially responsible for replacing the dress. If a student is in 8th grade, or is not planning on returning to Chorus next year, we ask that you please take the hem out of the dress. Failure to turn in your dress will result in the student losing their re-enrollment eligibility for VCS next year (same as a text-book.)
What are we doing in each class?
Theatre 1 - Students are currently working on their final project - a choice of singing, acting, or technical design.
Theatre 2 - Please join me in congratulating our advanced students on a successful performance of Fiddler on the Roof, Jr. I am incredibly proud - this is not an easy show for a middle school program to pull off, and our students did it with grace and understanding and care. The students will now be brushing up their theatre vocabulary in preparation for their EOC exams.
Chorus - The 7th and 8th grade Chorus students performed at MPA on March 4th and earned an Excellent Rating! All choirs are now in a music history and learning to identify pieces of music by time period, name, and composer.
All after-school commitments have been posted in a PDF file below.
***Important*** Parents, for the safety of your children and to ensure that they are always under adult supervision, pick-up for all after-school rehearsals is in the 6th grade car-line. That is the loop behind the Performing Arts building.
