HISTORY We are working on Lesson 3 and reviewing Lesson 3 of Chapter 9 this week and will be testing on Chapter 9 on Thursday. Please encourage your student to read the text several times this week to reinforce the information. Students will also be choosing their recipe for their 3rd quarter project involving early American recipes.
COMPUTERS We are finishing up Excel projects and working in Code.org. Individual links for each class are below and are also in Moodle and students should know their "secret words" to get into their work. We will also do several Excel mini assessments at the end of this week and the beginning of next week.
MATH We continue to work on our daily homework assignments and we are focusing on ALEKS time and topics mastered.
Please reinforce the importance of respecting the space and work time of others; repeated distractions make it hard for work to be done. If your student is not receiving at least a 4/5 or 5/5 each day for being "Prepared and Working" that means that time is not being spent wisely and he/she is disrupting the work environment. It is also imperative that the students TRY their homework independently - we are starting to have days where this hasn't happened and they are just waiting to start it, or even to look at it for the first time in our class.
