This is the last week of school! Hard to believe that the time has passed so quickly. Thank you so much for letting me work with your student this year, I have enjoyed watching them learn and grow.
Students will be taking their exam on Monday; on Tuesday they will be completing work in the Reflections Workbook for Chapter 18 and completing a Personal Assessment which is worth 30 points - please note that this should be completed entirely in class and turned in BEFORE they leave class on Tuesday. If a student is making up the exam they will be excused from this assignment but all other students should be turning in the work. The other item that ALL students should have turned in is the 4th Quarter Homework Assignment Log - this is not complicated, they should be recording the information every time I give an assignment, all they should have to do is pull it out of their folder and turn it in. If your student is still missing work from Chapters 12-17 that work can and should be turned in through Wednesday morning BEFORE first period. If I don't receive it before 8:00am on Wednesday it will not be included in their grades.
Students should be returning his/her home copy of the textbook on Monday or at the latest (if they are still completing work), Wednesday morning before first period. Third and seventh period students should also return the novel "A Break with Charity" by Wednesday morning at the latest.
UPDATE: All work received through Monday at 6pm is in the Skyward with the exception of the quizzes which will be graded and put in as soon as possible - since a "0" is currently in the gradebook if it was not received as of Friday last week - any score above zero will help to raise the grade.
Washington DC Trip Students: Very excited! We leave bright and early Sunday 5/22. There are only a few of you that haven't returned your form and tip money - please know that we can't take you on the trip without these items.
Quizlet should be used to prepare for Chapter tests. There is also an app that can be loaded on any Apple or Android device for practice "on the go".
