Reading is a semester long class designed to help students with the challenging reading demands of middle school. There is no assigned textbook. Students will read a variety of short stories, newspaper and magazine articles, plays and study both Latin and Greek roots. Each week on Monday, the students will study a list of given roots with the quiz on Friday.
The end of the 1st nine weeks is here! Students should have their AR goal by Thursday.
There is NO list of roots words this week. Students are working on a unit about concussions and focusing on the skill of inference. The cold read on the skill will be this Friday. It is an OWL test.
Happy reading and have a great week,
PS. If your student needs another copy of the root word list, please look under the PDF file on my website. The word lists are found under the heading, SECOND Nine Weeks Root Word Lists. We study the lists in the order they occur.
