There will be no root words for the week of April 17-21.
Reading is a semester long class designed to help students with the challenging reading demands of middle school. There is no assigned textbook. Students will read a variety of short stories, newspaper and magazine articles, plays and study both Latin and Greek roots. Each week on Monday, the students will study a list of given roots with the quiz on Friday.
Students will get a list of words that contain the root in class on Monday. The quiz will be Friday. These root word quizzzes are 45% of the grades in this class. Students that study and score well on these assessments normally do well in this class.
