6th Grade Language Arts -  Poetry will be the focus of our lessons throughout the second nine weeks.  We will be analyzing the rhythm and rhyme of poetry, the figurative language used in poetry, the different forms of poetry, and the sound devices used in poetry.  We will comparing and contrasting the short story "Eleven" written by Sandra Cisneros to a poem written by her titled "Four Skinny Trees."  Students will receive their graded essays on "Eleven" and "Four Skinny Trees" back and will have until this Friday, December 5th to revise their essays based on the feedback provided.  We will continue to use LearnZillion lessons to enhance our understanding of poetry.
