Pre-College Entrance Exams-Grades 10 & 11 

PSAT- It's a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT Reasoning Test. The PSAT measures: critical reading skills, math problem-solving skills, and writing skills.

PLAN- As a "pre-ACT" test, PLAN is a powerful predictor of success on the ACT. At the same time, many schools recognize the importance of PLAN testing for all students, as it focuses attention on both career preparation and improving academic achievement.  This exam measures English, Math, Science, and Reading. 

College Entrance Exams-Grades 11 & 12

SAT- The SAT is the nation's most widely used admissions test among colleges and universities. It tests students' knowledge of subjects that are necessary for college success: reading, writing, and mathematics. The SAT assesses the critical thinking skills students need for academic success in college. Register at www.collegeboard.com.

*VHS is a test site for the SAT.  Please arrive no later then 7:45 AM using the Main Entrance.

ACT- The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in: English, math, reading, and science.  Register at www.actstudent.org.

*VHS is not a test site for ACT.  When you are registering for the ACT make sure you use our high school code in order for VHS to receive your test scores.  High School Code = 101833

**Fee waivers are provided to those in need.  Please stop by guidance to see if you qualify for 2 free ACT and SAT tests.
