Middle School Field Trips
School field trips are designed to excite and engage our students with “hands-on learning" opportunities. These hands-on activities will create the right balance of fun and education to develop critical thinking skills, bring classroom theory to reality, and make learning enjoyable. Our trips vary from a day trip to Daytona International Speedway to week long trips to the Florida Keys or Washington D.C. Field trips are a great way to cement difficult information.
Students must maintain quality academic performance and meet behavioral guidelines to be eligible to participate in these classroom extensions. If a student’s grades are questionable, it would not be reasonable to allow him/her to miss school to attend a trip. Also remember – students are ambassadors of The Villages Charter School and ultimately of The Villages. Their behavior is a direct reflection on their classmates, teachers, and our school. Our high standards do not stop at school doors but follow anytime they are representing us.
